ANTIQUE LIMOGES BERNADAUD BIRD DUO C1910 BLUE THROAT

Perfectly beautiful duo, circa 1910, made by Bernadaud et Cie, Limoges. The bird design is taken from 18th C etching by Edwards and Catesby. The fine porcelain is basically white, with cream bands. The bird is shown on the inside of the cup. This bird is Le Rouge-gorge bleu, or the Red Blue throat. There are absolutely no faults and this has been lovingly cared for over the years. The cup is 45mm high and 100m across the bowl. The saucer is 145mm. There is a band of gold inside the cup.
