FEATURES: This is one of the most gorgeous quilts I've ever owned! The workmanship is superb and it's in excellent condition! The hand quilting is done at 10-12 tiny stitches per inch, counting one side only. All of the flowers are hand embroidered and I was told the applique stitches are also hand stitched. They are so tiny and close together that they appear to be done by machine. However, on looking through a magnifying glass at them, I do see indications that they are not quite so perfect as they look, so maybe they are hand done. Most of the quilting is done in a cross hatch pattern, with lines spaced about one inch apart. As you can see in the pictures, there is also swag quilting and lotus flowers quited in. The binding on the hard to execute scalloped edge is hand stitched. This beauty is all cotton, thin and lightweight, and in excellent condition! A spectacular display quilt!
