Most Antique majolica plates that are 100 to 150 years old, did not survive without some reminders from the past. This shows up in "age line" (hairlines cracks) at the least.
As you know these items have a very porous and soft paste that stains easily after long years of use.
Almost all Majolica has some evidence of its age and the glaze will have picked up some damage.

I describe my items carefully,and show very large and close up photos to unsure that even if I skipped a flaw or condition, the photos show it all.
