ANTIQUE MAPLE BRASS BISCUIT CUTTER KITCHEN TOOL SHAKER?

I acquired this handsome 19th c. biscuit cutter in New Hampshire with the Shaker mixed bristle brush I've also got listed. It's beautifully turned from maple, with three score lines at the top, a touch the Shakers often used, although others did also. The cutting ring is made of brass and attached with early nails. Since the wood has shrunk a bit, you can see a "gap" between the brass ring and the wood in places, indicative of the early age of this piece. It has a great look - possibly Shaker?
CONDITION: Very good condition, with minor wear to the varnish on the top of the brush (see photo).
SIZE: 5 1/2" H by 3 1/8" diam.
