No boring intro for this great set…This auction is for an awesome assortment of more than 280+ marbles, from antique handmade marbles to vintage and modern machine made marbles. HERE IS THE LIST:
6 old antique german handmade swirls. These are all in collectible/good condition. The largest is a giant 1 and ¾ inch ribbon core swirl that has 4 ribbons in the core surrounded by 4 sets of yellow and white subsurface bands. There is also a 1 and 1/8th inch solid core swirl, 3 white latticino core swirls, and another ribbon core swirl. These all have flaws and show wear, but are still very attractive and nice to look at.
10 GLAZED LINED CHINA MARBLES. 5 with black lines and 5 with orange. These are all peewees at less than ½ inch. Near Mint/Mint.
30 BENNINGTON MARBLES. Sizes from 7/16ths inch up to 5/8ths+ inch. Near Mint/Mint.
50 CLAY/STONE MARBLES from 7/16ths inch to 11/16ths inch. There are many colors and styles (speckled, painted, natural, dyed). They are in great condition for their age.
13 STONE/MINERAL MARBLES. These are all around ¾ inches. There are Rose Quartz, Banded Onyx, Picasso Jasper, Sodalite, Mookaite, Fancy Jasper, Tigereye, Agates, and Unakite specimens in this super set! All NM or better
There are 28 AWESOME COMIC/LOGO MARBLES in this lot too. Most of them are ¾ to 1 inch. There are Coke, Pepsi, Marlboro, Volkswagen, and Beech-Nut advertising marbles. And 2 Betty Boop, 2 Orphan Annie, Moon, 2 Mickey Mouse, and a Dancing Bear comic marbles. There are also 5 hot Pin-up Girl marbles, an Elvis marble, a USA marble, a smiley face, The Shadow, the Marble King Boy, and many others
I also tried to include a nice selection of more than 150+ VINTAGE AND MODERN MACHINE MADE MARBLES. Patches, swirls, rainbows, all-reds, slags, bees, hornets, flames, red devils etc…old and new in a very wide variety of colors and sizes from peewees to shooters/hoggers. These vary in condition from good to NM/Mint (most are NM or better). There are some really awesome marbles in this set.

On May-11-08 at 05:39:11 PDT, seller added the following information:JUST A QUICK NOTE to let all of you know that the comic/logo marbles are NOT vintage Peltier comics...I felt that this was pretty obvious, but at least one eBayer felt fooled/decieved, and told me to be honest. The Moon, and the two Orphan Annie comics are modern repros. Peltier also made a Betty Boop picture marble, but, if I remember correctly, those showed her face and not her body...so do not be fooled by the white, or the iridescent pink translucent betty boop marble either. It was NEVER my intention to decieve anyone, even by omission of fairly obvious facts.
