AN ANTIQUE, ca. 1920's, TABLE LAMP BY PHOENIX. UNSIGNED, IDENTIFIED BY THE SHAPE OF THE SHADE AND THE TYPE OF HEAT CAP AND FINIAL AS THAT OF PHOENIX LAMP CO. RETAILER'S LABEL ON UNDERSIDE. UNUSUAL EMBOSSED SMALL FLOWERHEAD DESIGN ON WHITE METAL BASE, WITH THE ORIGINAL UNWORN GILT FINISH. INCLUDES THE ORIGINAL DUAL BRASS SOCKET CLUSTER WITH PULL CHAINS [ONE CHAIN MADE SHORTER WITH BELL PULL.] NEWER WIRING AND PLUG: IN WORKING ORDER. LAMP MEASURES 15-½" TALL BY 8" BOTTOM DIAMETER. EXCELLENT CONDITION: WHITE METAL WITHOUT DENTS, OR BREAKS, NOR LOSSES, GILT FINISH UNWORN. THE ORIGINAL FROSTED GLASS SHADE IS REVERSE [INTERIOR] TRANSFER PRINTED WITH A REPEATING SCENE OF PALM TREES WITH TROPICAL ISLANDS ACROSS WATERS AT SUNSET. THE INTERIOR WITH ATOMIZED SHADING MATTE SKY ENAMEL COLORS AND HAND PAINTED GREEN BUSHES. SHADE MEASURES 8" TALL BY 18" DIAMETER. EXCELLENT CONDITION: WITHOUT CHIPS OR CRACKS, NO PEEL TO ENAMELS.
