An antique, blue and white stoneware pottery salt box with lid from around the middle of the 19th century. This piece is 5 7/8" in height by 6" in diameter and is unmarked as to origin or maker. It has raised "SALT" lettering on the front and raised designs in the pottery on the lid and surrounding the outside of this piece. This piece is an American primitive item and has irregularities in it due to it's nature of manufacture. There are no cracks or repairs, though there is some slight wear on the edges from use and there is a shallow chip on the bottom. Please email me any questions or concerns you have before bidding.
