This Wooden Box has a patent date of Feb. 19, 1839 or 1889 stamped on the outside of it. It is quite unsual because it is hinged on 3 sides so it can open up flat. It measures 3 1/2" square and 6 1/2" in length. It has rounded dovetailed corners. I spoke to a nice ebay lady who told me it was actually made by Singer Sewing Machine Co. to hold the attachments for their machines. Of course it does have some wear to it, but after all it is at least 120 years old. Also the more accurate color of the wood is picture number two which shows the patent registration mark. This is a little piece of history, quaranteed to make a nice converstation piece. Please contact me if you have any questions. I accept money order or pay pal only, and will ship as soon as payment is received.
Thanks for Looking!!!
