PRIMITIVE KITTY OIL PAINTING

Well you don't find oil paintings out there of Cats very often but I am always on the hunt for them.  I love old cat and dog paintings and this is a great one.  This is really old and is of a Kitty that looks like she's bundled in a blanket sitting in an arm chair.  Looks like a Stripped Tabby.  This is truly a Primitive Folk Art Piece painted on board. There is writing on the back that says 110 years old and it looks like old writing so who knows how old this really is.  There is some paint loss around the edges but in no way detracts from this wonderful old painting.

This measures  9.5'' x 11.5'' in the frame and 6.5'' x 9''

This looks like it was attached in the frame later with glue.

Note... A fellow ebayer emailed me and said she had a print from the 1800's just like this titled "Winter Quarters"  wouldn't it be great if this was the original painting that they reproduced prints from?
