ANTIQUE MEDICAL PATIENT HEATING CHAMBER!! EVERYTHING WORKS! THE FAN, HEATER AND INSIDE CHAMBER LIGHT ARE ALL WORKING. PATENTED IN THE EARLY 1900's BY DR. BURNS OF ALABAMA CITY, ALABAMA. LOCATED IN THE OLD PART OF THE CITY AND BUILDING RECENTLY UNDERWENT A RENOVATION. THIS LARGE CABINET EVEN RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL RED LEATHER PAD AND PILLOW FOR THE PATIENT'S COMFORT. VERY LARGE AND WILL NEED FREIGHT SHIPPING. OWN AN ANTIQUE PIECE OF MEDICAL HISTORY!! Very RARE!! No international shipping. Picture slideshow located underneath original gallery picture. Larger detailed pictures may be emailed upon request. Original wood and leather padding inside. Front of the heating cabinet has a swing - down door to open so that the patient could climb inside. Original knobs and electrical switches are still attatched to the cabinet. Measurements of this antique medical collectible heating chamber are: 27 1/2" in width, 75" in length, 39" in height with the legs attached, and 34" in height with the legs removed for shipping purposes. Slide open small door on the top so the doctor could check on the patient inside. Dr. Burns had this chamber patented and used it to help patients suffering with ailment such as arthritis. The heating was supposed to help their symptoms.
