ANTIQUE RENAISSANCE STEP DOWN MARBLE TOP WALNUT DRESSER

AN ANTIQUE, ca. 1870, RENAISSANCE REVIVAL STYLE WALNUT STEP DOWN DRESSER. TWO PIECE CONSTRUCTION, SOLID WALNUT BOARDS. THE DRAWER FRONTS HAVE RECESSED PANELS WITH RAISED CENTERS HAVING WALNUT BURL VENEERS. THE TWO CENTER DRAWERS HAVE RAISED WALNUT ESCUTCHEONS. UNUSUAL EBONIZED WOOD AND BRASS DROP DRAWER PULLS. THREE LIGHTLY GRAY VEINED WHITE MARBLE BEVELED SLABS ON TOP. THE TOP SECTION CONTAINS THE TOP SMALL DRAWERS WITH THE MIRROR FRAME HAVING THE TWO CANDLESTICK SHELVES. NICELY CARVED MIRROR FRAME WITH CREST HAVING PALMETTES, SCROLLS, AND BURL VENEERS. ORIGINAL MIRROR WITHOUT DAMAGE OR BACKING PEEL SPOT PROBLEMS. THE FRONT SKIRT IS ACTUALLY A DRAWER THAT PULLS OUT FROM THE BOTTOM EDGE. THE DRESSER MEASURES 7'9" TALL BY 4'4" WIDE BY 20" DEEP. VERY GOOD CONDITION: ONLY DAMAGE IS A WIDE CHIP TO THE FRONT LEFT FOOT, OTHERWISE WITHOUT CHIPS OR CRACKS. ORIGINAL UNWORN FINISH. ALL BURL VENEERS WITHOUT CHIPS. DRAWER INTERIORS ARE MAPLE WITH A CHERRY STAIN. ALL MARBLES WITHOUT CRACKS OR CHIPS OR STAINS. BOTH LOCKS PRESENT, NO KEY INCLUDED.
