This antique Toby pitcher with a Rockingham style glaze is fresh off the fireplace mantle of a Newport, Rhode Island estate!  This 10 inch tall pitcher features Toby taking a pinch of snuff in his right hand with a round snuff box in his left hand. This wonderful mid 19th century  toby pitcher may have been made in Bennington, Vermont, however, Toby pitchers with Rockingham glazes were also made in New Jersey and in England.  This fine example has one small repaired flake on the inside of the rim and a very ting glaze flake on the outside of the rim otherwise it appears to be in excellent condition! Buyer pays shipping & insurance. NO RESERVE!
