An antique Russian lady's silver cigarette case Art Nouveau style circa 1910. The front cover decorated with engraved flowers and foliage. 84 imperial silver mark, maker's initials Cyrillic KC. Well preserved guilded interior, hinge is well preserved, box closes tightly. The back cover has an applied name in Cyrillic "Lena" in 14 karat gold. The case is in overall very good vintage condition with only very minor scratches and dents from use, which do not detract from the overall appearance and elegance. Heavy gage silver which feels smooth and well balanced when held reflecting high degree of craftsmanship. An interesting and rare example of Russian Art Nouveau silver work. Size 3 5/8" or 9.5 cm by 2 1/4" or 5.5 cm. Comes from an old time European collection.
