OFFERED IS A FABULOUS HARD TO FIND ANTIQUE MAJOLICA LARGE PANTHER WALKING IN THE WIND BLOWN SAVANAHA GRASSES.

THIS BEAUTIFUL MAJOLICA PANTHER  IS FROM THE WELL KNOWN MAJOLICA FACTORY OF SARREGUEMINES, FRANCE FROM THE 1920's. I HAVE SOLD SEVERAL LARGE PIECES FROM THIS PERIOD. PHOTOS 7,8 AND 9 ARE OF THE LAST LARGE PIECE I SOLD. IT WAS WELL MARKED SO I ADDED THE PHOTOS FOR YOU TO SEE WITH THE MAKERSMARK. THIS PANTHER IS MARKED WITH THE MODEL NUMBER TWICE, 5458. 

THIS LARGE POWERFUL MUSCULAR PANTHER MEASURES A LARGE 17 INCHES LONG BY 9.5 INCHES TALL BY 3.75 INCHES WIDE.

IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR ITS GREAT AGE WITH NO CHIPS!! THERE WAS A CLAY SEPERATION MAINLY ON THE BOTTOM FROM FIRING IN THE KILN WHICH WAS FILLED IN AND IS NOT CONSIDERED DAMAGE AND CAN BE  NORMAL WITH ANTIQUE MAJOLICA. SEE PHOTOS.
