BIDDING FOR A AMAZING FIND THAT I RECENTLY FOUND WITH MY METAL DETECTOR IN PENNSYLVANIA. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SUPER OLD FANCY METAL DECORATION/BUCKLE FOR THE HEAD PIECE OF A RIDING OR PLOW HORSE. IT HAS A 6 POINTED STAR ON THE FRONT THAT IS RAISED A BIT OFF THE BUCKLE. THE BACK HAS 2 POSTS FOR FASTENING. THE STAR IN FRONT HAS THE ENDS BROKEN OFF 4 POINTS AND IT IS WARPED. I WOULD GUESS BY THE DEPTH FOUND AND LOCATION IT COULD BE ANYWHERE FROM LATE 1700-S TO LATE 1800-S. THIS ONLY A ESTIMATE. A COOL FIND.WOULD NOT MIND SOME ADDITIONAL INPUT TO EXACT FUNCTION.
