This wonderful antique Staffordshire spaniels look so striking together (and have been friends for so  many years) that I felt it necessary to include a photo of them as a group. However, this auction is for the LARGER spaniel ONLY and the other dogs are listed in a separate auction. I purchased this lovely old Staffordshire red & white dog at an estate sale on Long Island, New York about 15 years ago from a  home that was filled with quality antiques passed down through the family. He is decorated with a gold collar and hanging lock and black link chain. This spaniel measures 9 3/4" tall by about 7 1/2" long and is in good condtion for it's age but has some minor aging flaws such as: light overall crazing; some flakes to the red spots, chip on tail and a light hairline that runs from behind the left shoulder to the top of the left ear. Please note that in the close-up of the tail, the white spot is not a damage but rather a missed paint spot.
