Here is an old antique tapestry..probably early 1900's to before 1920.  I like to look at these old tapestries carefully as you sometimes miss something interesting if you don't take the time to examine them.  This one has three sets of couples..all of the men look quite wealthy..dressed to the T's..and the women are all pretty and look well-dressed also. The couple to the far left are watching the couple in the boat..well, the woman is..the man is staring at her with a intent smile on his face. The middle couple is in a boat and he is obviously boasting..pointing to his grand mansion w/ his hat. The most seductive couple is to the far right, she has her hand up on his thigh and he is biting one of his fingers while they stare at each other . There are gardens around them, a swan below the boat, reeds and lilypads..very charming scene. Would look nice in a Victorian style home or anyone's that likes old tapestries around.

It measures 54 x 18 ins. approx.  It has some mild water staining or foxing in spots.., one small tear to the fabric in the center and a dark stain by that. I have not attempted to clean it , it smells fine. The colors are all very muted..soft lavender and greens and tans. Any questions, please email me.
