Superb antique Tunbridge Ware stamp box with portrait of the young Queen Victoria to the lid.

Length 1.65" (4.2 cms)  Width 1.4" (3.6 cms)   Height with lid 0.75" (1.9 cms).

The box is intricately made but at the bottom end the frame to the portrait seems to be too small and there may be a little piece of wood missing  (see pictures 2 and 5).  There is also a fixing missing on the corner of the lid at the back (see picture 6).  The portrait itself is in very good condition.

Superb detail in miniature of Queen Victoria. 

A very interesting item not only for collectors of Tunbridge Ware but also for collectors of items relating to Queen Victoria and collectors of stamp boxes.
