ANTIQUE VICTORIAN THISTLE SILVER BOOKMARK. This Victorian bookmark is made from silver and has a thistle top. The thistle comprises two leaves on either side of a gold coloured stone. Scottish motifs and stones (Cairngorm) where popularised by Victorian and Alberts great love of all things Scottish and where used in jewellery and silver items. The bookmark is marked on the back Sterling with an indistinct makers mark J ? S. The bookmark measures 72 mm x 12 mm.
