Place your bids on this antique hunting case, stem wind and lever set pocket watch crafted by Waltham, c. 1887.  The porcelain dial features black Roman numeral chapter markers, auxiliary seconds and blued steel spade hands.  The dial is in good condition, with several tiny hairlines at the bottom edge of the dial and several small hairlines between 9:00 and 10:00.  The hands and crystal are in excellent condition.  The Waltham silveroid case is in excellent condition, showing minor signs of wear.  Both sides are embellished with an unusual five-pointed star motif.  The front of the case is adorned with a fancy shield-shaped cartouche containing "M.H.W."  The safety pinion movement is in working order.  The case diameter measures approximately 40 mm.  The pocket watch is marked as follows:

Dial: "A.W.Co. Waltham"

Movement: "American Waltham Watch Co. 3317645 Safety Pinion"

Outside of dust cover: "Minnie H. Ward Dec. 25th, 1887"

Inside of dust cover: "A.W.W.Co. Waltham 52125"
