This is a fantastic original old weavers shuttle and still in good condition the holes you see are for the metal dowels, there is only slight surface rust on the metal parts, this item could be cleaned and varnished to make a superb display item.
The spring loaded central pin hinges upward so that the weaver can replenish the bobbin (or Pirn) that contains the weft.
Size - 18" long x 2" inches wide.
