ANTIQUE WEDGWOOD DESSERT PLATES

A SET OF 6~COBALT & GILT TRIM

A striking set of Wedgwood dessert/salad plates with cobalt blue, gilt work, and floral swags.

Done in the mixation method, the flowers and the leaves of the garlands are highlighted with hand-painting. The gilt work around the edges and between the cobalt areas are also hand-painted.

The plates are marked with the Portland Vase mark with 3 stars, Circa 1905. The set is crisp and bright, with minor wear to the gilt work on the scalloped edges. There are a few minor utensil marks, but no chips or cracks.
