THIS PIECE OF HISTORY IS FROM MY GRANDMOTHER'S ESTATE AND I ESTIMATE IT TO BE FROM THE 1800'S.  IT IS SOME TYPE OF WOODEN  VINTAGE WOODWIND INSTRUMENT, PERHAPS A FLUTE.  I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ITEM, BUT HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DEFINITELY IDENTIFY IT.  AN ACCOMPLISHED MUSICIAN FRIEND WAS ABLE TO "PLAY" IT AND GET LOVELY TONES OUT IT.  IT DOES HAVE A PICTURE ON THE FRONT OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE ANCIENT GRECIAN FIGURES.
