ANGEL OF DREAM BALL JOINTED DOLL "GU" Face Sculpt
as
ALADDIN SANE
a tribute to David Bowie and the glam-rockers of 1973!

Although the album was released well before he was born (and on vinyl, no less!), Aladdin Sane resonates with young GU...the androgynous style, and, of course, the music. Songs like "Cracked Actor" and "Panic in Detroit" have become an anthem of sorts for our modern day rebel, Gu.

Starting out as an Angel of Dream (AoD) 62cm body with GU face sculpt, Aladdin Sane came to life with a combination of acrylics, pastels and watercolor pencils with a design that was inspired by the original Aladdin Sane album cover by David Bowie.  Gu's face was sealed for protection with gloss on his lips and matte on the remainder of his face.  Gu's eyes are hazel (acrylic), his lashes are black, and his wig is ebony with pink highlights.  Gu's body has been shaded to bring out the detail of his body sculpt, and sealed as well.
