WIKIPEDIA PAGE on the mac portable

I am not the original owner of this unit and I do not have the AC for it.  I was going to order one but according to the wikipedia page these units require both a good battery and an AC to run.  Lead acid batteries die when left discharged and with age and that is an issue with these units.  Wikipedia provides work arounds for this and provides links as such (over my head).  I do know of someone that will repack the battery like new for 85$. I do have old mac software that I plan to list that I am sure works with this model.  Honestly I did not tested it and wish that I could.  If there is a way I can verify something for you prior to it going out please email.  As such I can only gaurntee against phyiscal damage.  Cosmetically it is in great shape.

 Q: You describe the Portable as having 4 Megs of RAM. That requires a 3 meg RAM card. Does it have a RAM card? Are you sure the RAM card is 3 megs? What do you base this claim on?
A: Yes but the way I understand it is one mb on the board the ram card is 4mb for a total of 5mb. The ram card says 4mb not 3.
