"Artist Mary Lake-Thompson personally oversees everything from the initial design concept of her product line to the end product. Mary started drawing and painting as a young child in Colorado, and graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute. She and her husband Richard eventually grew tired of city life and moved to the quiet town of Oroville, California.
"Her two daughters were the inspiration for some of her first paintings, and she managed to land an art show at a Northern California gallery in the early 80's. When her prints proved successful, she started a greeting card company. Before long, she picked up licensing contracts for companies such as C.R. Gibson and Edie Bauer, expanding her designs to include diaries, baby books, address books, paper napkins, soaps and lotion. Eventually, Mary began designing her own line of bath products, towels, aprons, napkins and more. It is important to Mary that all of her products are made in the USA. In fact, they are all made, stored and shipped in her home town of Oroville." |
