Here is a brief story about Ardor pipes:

One of the pure joys in pipe collecting is the Ardor pipe, and it is surely one of the finest, yet at the same time, most affordable Italian pipes on the marketplace today. Ardor is the invention of the Rovera family, and its origins begin in Varese, Italy in 1911. Originally four brothers (Frederico, Carlo, Cornelio and Franscesco) started the company, which would become known as Ardor, and produced many pipes that have become popular throughout Europe, and now, the United States.

The attention to detail and the fine craftsmanship that you would expect to see in a high quality pipe are all present in the Ardor. They are available in a number of lines including but not limited to, smooth & natural (Venere), carved (Meteora), and sandblasted (Sabbiata). Ardor pipes come in 150 shapes and are principally carved by father Dorelio Rovera and his son Damiano. The name "Ardor" is a combination of the initials of Dorelio Rovera's father Angelo Rovera "AR" and Dorelio himself "DOR". The Italian pipe making community is littered with father and son teams, but few if any can surpass the talented Roveras and their exceptional smoking pipes. You are bidding on an UNSMOKED, BRAND NEW IN THE BOX CONDITION hand crafted Ardor "URANO" "Fantasy"series pipe, in a beautiful dark hand rusticated finish, and a sterling silver stem trim band and olive wood ferule. This "Ballerina" shaped pipe was crafted in 2007. The proprietary amber yellow acrylic stem along with the sterling silver trim work and olive wood ferule all combine to make this one stunning and elegant looking briar!

 This beautiful  looking pipe possesses both a wonderful balance and very comfortable hand feel. A pipe cleaner will  pass to the bottom of the bowl. The draft is nice and easy. The original box, literature, and pipe sleeve are all included.

Here are the dimensions of this fabulous pipe: The length is about 5.95". The bowl height is about 1.875". The tobacco chamber is about 0.875" in diameter and tapers down the bowl's 1.75" inner depth. Capacity is about the same as a Group ODA size Dunhill pipe. This gorgeous pipe weighs 56 grams.

Once again, this is a seven-day no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out. Unfortunately, this all has to be reflected in my shipping costs, so please bid accordingly.
