AROUND THE WORLD WITH A CAMERA
Leslie-Judge, Co. (New York), 1918
We have a number of listings for collectible books this week. See below for combined shipping availability for this item, our general shipping polices and links to our offerings. We have a 100% positive feedback rating and a good return policy, also described below. Please bid with confidence.

We are pleased to offer this fascinating photography book with extensive coverage of World War I.

As you can see from the first two photos, the cover is worn.

The title page and publishing information. This is published in affiliation with Leslie's magazine.

The introduction and a statement about the war.

A color page featuring war medals.

After the introductory material, almost all of the pages look like this one, with several photographs and captions and short paragraphs interspersed.

There are a couple of pages about air battle.

Here is a tank, which looks half buried.

Some photos of submarines.

There are also a number of exciting full-page color illustrations. Here a gladiator riding a winged plane throws bombs down on the enemy.

A shipyard.

A wartime message.

Here is an early Rockwell. The soldier opens a package from home, sitting in front of a wooden sign that says "Hotel Ritz".

Almost the entire book is about the war, but here is a page on the Russian Revolution.
SIZE Large: 10 1/2 x 14 inches.
CONDITION The cover has some damage. The spine cover is torn away from the binding, and there is wear and staining to the cover, as shown. The binding is loose, but no pages are detached. Some pages in the back have dark stains, and some pages have tears. The majority of the inside pages are in good to very good condition.
SHIPPING We can combine shipping with some other items, depending on size and weight. Assuming this is the extra item in a multiple purchase (that is, if another item is heavier), the additional charge would be $1.00 (US Media Mail). See below for more on our shipping policies.
WHY IS THIS INTERESTING? This is an extensive piece of what we now call photojournalism. We have only scratched the surface here. This book contains several hundred photographs of all aspects of World War I and a number of color illustrations beyond the ones we have shown. We recommend this book for history enthusiasts and scholars.

SALES & SHIPPING INFORMATION
PAYMENT: As required by eBay, we list only PayPal as a means of payment.
SHIPPING: We are usually able to ship within 3 days of payment verification. With rare exceptions, we ship through the United States Postal Service, and we try to offer the most appropriate postage categories. We add the cost of postal insurance to our shipping charges for items above $50 in value.
COMBINED SHIPPING: We sometimes specify combined shipping discounts with our listings, but we will offer such discounts in many other cases even when not pre-quoted. Assuming that multiple items can be appropriately shipped in one box, we begin with the charge for the heaviest item and add between $1 and $5 for extra items, depending on weight and additional packing material needed. The added charge could be more for unusually heavy or large items. International customers: your combined shipping is different and hard to quote ahead of time, but we will offer discounts whenever possible.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Bidding from international customers is welcome! We accept PayPal payments only from other countries; we do not accept checks or currency. As noted above, we will combine shipping for international customers whenever possible and include the savings in our shipping charge. Because there are so many different international rates, we cannot quote the combined shipping rates ahead of time. We ship using Priority International Mail through the US Postal Service if a package weighs four pounds or more. When it weights less, we also offer First Class International as a option. Please be aware that Priority International packages can be tracked while still in the United States, and they can be insured. First Class International cannot be insured, and so the customer assumes a risk for this less expensive choice. Also, please be aware that we do not mark items as "gifts" or report lower sales values on customs forms. We are happy to have sold a wide variety of items to our international friends and to have received good customer satisfaction feedback from them.
RETURN POLICY: We have a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy! Returns are accepted for refund within a 7-day period of the receipt of the merchandise. We will pay return shipping when defects or item characteristics were not properly noted in the original sales listing. In other cases, the buyer pays return shipping. Returns must be received in the same condition as when the item was sent. Most of our transactions are trouble-free, but we suggest you contact us if a problem does arise so we can mutually try to arrive at a satisfactory solution.
