Offered for your bidding consideration is this Art Nouveau Art Deco handcrafted art glass perfume bottle from the Czech Republic. This wonderful perfume bottle was produced using vintage molds that were produced between 1928 and 1936. A very Art Deco interpretation with a highly faceted and intricately cut pyramid shaped irridescent crystal perfume bottle accompanied by a large and highly detailed faceted irridescent crystal top. The design is of a nude maiden in a very Art Deco pose. This unusual perfume bottle was custom made for me by Mr. Pesnicak. The Europeans typically don't care for irridescent glass and I ordered a very small number of irridescent perfume bottles. You can see from the photographs how this rare perfume bottle changes color depending on the light. It measures about 7 & 1/2" tall and 4 & 1/2" wide. It is in as new condition as it has never been displayed or used. It is signed on the bottom by it's creator "J. Pesnicak". Jarislov Pesnicak has been making perfume bottles in his small studio for many years. He uses molds that his grandfather created some 80 years ago. When the Nazis were about to invade the Czech Republic he hid the molds and fled. The Nazis confiscated these molds and Jarislov Pesnicak spent many years in court trying to gain possession of his grandfathers molds, eventually he was successful. The process to make these gorgeous perfume bottles is very time consuming. After the glass is poured into the molds and allowed to cool, the finished bottle must be ground and polished and the perfume bottle base cut. These bottles are rarely available in the US as Mr. Pesnicak has a very small studio and most of his work stays in Europe. All of these perfume bottles come out of my personal collection.
