Offered for your bidding consideration is this rare Art Nouveau Art Deco handcrafted cameo art glass perfume bottle from the Czech Republic. This wonderful art glass perfume bottle was produced using the old world cameo glass technique perfected in the late 1800's by Emile Galle. This unusual glass perfume bottle is blown in two seperate layers of glass. First a layer of crystal glass is blown into the shape of the bottle followed by another layer of cobalt blue glass. The cobalt blue layer is then meticulously and deeply carved away to reveal the crystal layer underneath! This rare and gorgeous perfume bottle stands 6 & 1/2" tall (with the airtight multifaceted crystal stopper in place) and 3 & 1/2" at it's widest point. This highly detailed nonrepeating design depicts a maiden with long flowing hair in the Art Nouveau style of Alphonse Mucha. The top of the bottle as well as the stopper (as is the entire backside of the bottle) are also deeply etched in an Art Nouveau pattern. It is signed on the bottom by its creator (Sebesta). It is in as new condition and comes in a satin lined presentation box. It has never been displayed and comes out of my personal collection. It is entirely handmade by Mr. Sebesta who is a well know and respected artist in Europe. These perfume bottles are rarely available in the US as Mr. Sebesta has a very small studio and most of his work stays in Europe.
