WONDERFUL VINTAGE ART DECO LAUDERDALE BEACH HOTEL PLAYING CARDS - DOUBLE DECK - IN BOX!

Double deck of bridge sized cards, 2.25 x 3.5". One deck is green, the other is navy blue. Both sport the gold Lauderdale Beach Hotel logo and gold trim. The double tray box is plastic with a clear cover. Both decks appear little used but have a very slight curve to them from storage.

The cards are made by Arrco, "Arrco Playing Card Co., Chicago, Made in U.S.A." is printed on the Ace.

The blue deck has three black and white Jokers and one color. The green deck has two of each. Other than that difference, each deck does have all 52 suit cards present.

The front of the cards sports a very Art Deco logo for the hotel. It says Lauderdale Beach Hotel, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and has a sailboat and a seagull on it. Check out the photos - just beautiful!

Great Deco collectible or great gift for someone who collects them. Have you been to the Lauderdale Beach Hotel? Perfect!

In doing some research, I found that the Lauderdale Beach Hotel (I've added a photo of it) was built in 1938 at 101 South Atlantic Blvd by Dorothy E. Knight and family, who owned it until 1972. In the 1990s, there were a series of arson fires and the building was in danger of being demolished. From what I can tell, it has actually been restored and is still standing.
