Offered for your bidding consideration is this unique handblown limited edition art glass  vase from world renowned art glass artists Vandermark Merritt Glass of Flemington New Jersey. This wonderful vase is truly inspired by its Art Nouveau Art Deco motif. Doug Merritt has been blowing glass in New Jersey since the late 1960's and his work is represented in the permanent collections of the White House, the Chrysler Museum, the Smithsonian and the Corning Museum of Glass to name a few.  This beautiful large and heavy vase consists of crystal  glass. The lampworked design (which covers the entire vase on all sides) consists of six large lifelike flowers. Two red roses, two blue flowers with millefiori centers and two purple and yellow flowers with dark swirling centers are interdispersed in an alternating pattern around the entire vase. In addition there are a plethora of greenish brown vines interdispersed throughout the vase and green stems and leaves with bright white millefiori canes with red centers. There is even a very rare signature cane! It is a very tall and heavy vase measuring 7 & 1/4 " tall by 7 " at it's widest point. It is properly signed "Vandermark SBOS_". It is also signed by both Doug Merritt and Steve Smarr. Best of all, this piece of glass is #73 of a limited edition of only 200! It is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks, nicks or repairs.
