It is with great sadness, and true dense of loss that we, the pipe collecting community have lost another great pipe maker. William Ashton Taylor has passed away a month ago.

You are bidding on an UNSMOKED Ashton XXX size stamped, "Pebble Grain" straight "Billiard" shaped pipe, with a gorgeous "ring grain" sandblasting that was hand crafted by William Ashton Taylor, in England, in 1997.  This pipe was in fact crafted to an extremely high standard of both engineering as well as appearance. This pipe possesses a beautifully defined crisp and craggy sandblasting pattern.

Ashton pipes were oil cured, just like the Dunhill pipes of yesteryear. This produces a very sweet performing pipe with a very easy break-in period. This beautiful pipe has everything going for it! It possesses a wonderful balance and “hand feel”, while delivering a very cool, sweet, and mellow performance! Please don’t miss this opportunity to own and enjoy this amazing pipe!

Here are the dimensions of this beautiful classic English hand crafted pipe: The overall length is about 6.0". The bowl height is 2.10". The tobacco chamber is about 0.825" in diameter, and gradually tapers down the bowl's 1.75" inner depth. Capacity is about the same as a Dunhill Group ODA size pipe. This stunning unsmoked Bill Taylor crafted Ashton pipe weighs 70 grams.  The stem was hand crafted from "Ashtonite" composite. The Ashton pipe sleeve pictured below is included.

Once again, this is a seven day no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high bidder to own and enjoy this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with bidding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art.
