Hi there, Thanks so much for your interest in my Art. This is a small format (2.5x3.5 inch) original Prismacolor illustration on textured multimedia art cardstock. I was inspired to create this, just this afternoon after receiving a newsletter from the ATC & ACEO Enthusiasts Challenge. This is my answer to the Week 201 Challenge "OCTOPUS". The back of the card is signed and dated. This card will come to you in a protective hard plastic sleeve. Shipping is free. About the Artist: Education: Rosemarie Tursi was educated via Pasadena Art Center and California State University Fullerton, starting out in Industrial Design but ultimately obtaining her Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree as a double concentration in Animation and Illustration. Work: After a short stint at Cartoon Network, working on the animated TV series, 'Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends', Rose left to teach drawing and painting with Mission: Renaissance fine arts program at their Anaheim Hills, Irvine and Laguna studios. Rose has also worked as a set and prop designer for multiple independant film projects in the Inland Empire. Her art has been exhibited in multiple juried competitions and exhibitions. Currently, Rose is busy illustrating children's books. However, you can still view much of her works in various galleries throughout the Pomona Arts Colony and Riverside Arts Community. Interests: Rose considers herself a 'Jack of all Trades' when it comes to art. Although her formal education has been primarily in drawing; she also takes a great interest in painting, ceramics, sculpture, crafts, glass lampworking, gourd and wood craft, photography, sewing, and various mixed media projects incorporating all of the above. Rose also considers herself a naturalist. She enjoys studying archeology, paleontology and zoology; not as a profession, but as a personal interest. She is a member of the Zoological Society of San Diego, and the Los Angeles County Natural History family of museums. Aspects of these interests often find their way into her art.  |
