This hardback book was written and illustrated by C. C. Lockwood, and published in 1981/82, by Beauregard Press, and signed on the facing page by the author. It is approx. 8.25" X 12.25", and has 105 pages, and is in very good or better condition. The DJ has several small tears around the edges and some rub markings, an inscription to the previous owner on inside of front board, and the inside is bright and clean and appears in gently read condition. From the back fly--When this book, Atchafalaya:America's Largest River Basin Swamp, was awarded the Louisiana Literary Ward, the judges said: This book blends remarkable photography with intelligent and informative text to form a stunning publication. That one person, through boundless patience and perseverance, was able to capture on film the truly beautiful scenes in this book is an achievement. It is an even greater accomplishment that he also composed the accompanying text, which, at times, borders on the lyrical.The
