This auction is for a copy of the August 17, 1962 issue of Life Magazine with Marilyn Monroe on the cover - MEMORIES OF MARILYN ISSUE.

The magazine is approximately 13-5/8 x 10-1/2". The Memories of Marilyn article is a photo essay entitled REMEMBER MARILYN. There are fabulous photos of Marilyn when she was 19, Marilyn in April 1952, July 1950, July 1962,  with Arthur Miller in 1956, singing for the troops in Korea, Marilyn with Joe DiMaggio.  There are also photos of Marilyn as she Mimicked Fabled Sirens such as Lillian Russell, Theda Bara, Jean Harlow and Marlene Dietrich.  There is also a photo of Marilyn taken by Bert Stern for Vogue less than two months before she died.  It is a two page photo and is one of the last great studio portraits of Marilyn.  The magazine is intact.  There is a fold on the front cover (see photo).  Other wise it is in pretty good condition for being almost 46 years old.

This would be a wonderful addition to a collection.
