We have on offer here a pair of 15 round ammuntion pouches (for the .303 ammunition) as worn on the waist belt by Australian Light Horse during WWI.
Both are original un-issued matched pair by the same maker and same date, Stamped on back of both is:
Holden & Frost
1916
and both carry the same inspectors intitial stamp H and Broadarrow on the upper flap.
These grained leather pouches are in beautiful mint condition for their age, the leather is still very supple and like new, and in very usable condition. All the rivettes and brass posts are in as new condition.
A very rare unissued matching pair of 15 round Light Horse pouches, and a collectable piece of Australian military history.
