If you know Baume & Mercier, you know how rare this watch is.    I have owned this watch for several years, and do not wear it as much as I used to.   It really should be worn, not just sitting in my jewerly armoire.   I just had it professionally cleaned and serviced at Dickson's Jewelers in Mesa Arizona a few weeks ago, a professional watch person has worked there for years.  It wasn't until I got home that I noted they have forgotten to clean the crystal so I will be taking it back for them to do.  The back is removable but because of the value it has been my personal choice to have their professional watch person clean and service it, rather than me clean it myself.  I have always meant to have them weigh it on their digital scale but keep forgetting, and also to pick up my paperwork on the work done on the watch.   I will get that information and it will be included.   On my professional Hamilton Jewlery scale it weighs approximately between 34-35 grams.  This scale is accurate.   It is 18K gold - solid gold.   They esitmate a minimum value of $2400.00 and agree with me with no prompting, that it is a very nice watch.  Measures 6 and 1/4 inches long and the face is 7/8 inches measuring side to side and almost an inch wide including the cabachon dial. The band portion measures appx. 1/2 inch tapering to almost 3/8 inch. My wrist measures a firm 6 and 1/8 inches and I can wear it in either of the 2 positions for closure - I have only worn it in the shortest position and it is a very nice fit - perfect - I can barely get my finger under the face - in the longer position add about 1/8 inch and the little square opening at the back on the band will show and I can turn the watch around my wrist but it won't roll on me.  Has a very secure closure and a safety closure that comes down over the insert before it is snapped closed.   Very comfortable on the wrist and has never rolled on me or fallen off my wrist.   Has also never caught on anything (e.g., has never snagged anything I am wearing).  Has a blue cabecheon dial (I have always known it to be blue-it looks blue).  Has a round bezel style face (I believe that is the term for this style) and the solid weaved band tapers towards the back.  Has gold hour and minute hands and no numbers.  I have never once read the time wrong.  With the way they made this watch, you don't need numbers.  At the 12:00 position is the Baume & Mercier logo and "Baume & Mercier" and "GENEVE".  At the bottom by 6:00 position - "Swiss Made".  Baume & Mercier logo on clasp.  Series of numbers on the back -  1st row - 961683 - 2nd row - 36663.  Stamped 750 on the clasp (which is 18K) and there are other stamps too small for me to read, even with my magnifying glass.  This watch is extremely rare as it is one of  a kind, in basically like new condition, and in 18K and the gram weight is substantial. The watch is in really like perfect condition.  On the right side of the face towards the bottom there is a minsicule what I would describe as a slight shadow.  Not noticeable and you have to really look close to see it.   I am the second owner - I bought it from an estate sale many years ago and it came this way.  I am probably one of the pickiest persons you would ever meet, but this has been something that has never bothered me whatsoever as it is not at all noticeable unless you get your face right down to it.  The face could be replaced - but I prefered to keep it original.  For the most part it keeps perfect time but it gains maybe 10 minutes once in awhile - I keep forgetting to mention that to the watchmaker, as that is something I have paid no mind to either.    This is really a wonderful watch and will give the new owner years of enjoyment.  And certainly a piece of jewely worthy of passing on through the generations.
