AUTHENTIC CIVIL WAR CDV PHOTO ALBUM PENNSYLVANIA NAVAL

Up for sale is a wonderful piece of Civil War history!  This is an actual and authentic Civil War cdv album.  This album belonged to Lydia Rohrer.  Her father was Surgeon Benj. Rohrer.  He may be in the album although it is not noted as such.  The second page of the album has a personal inscription by a fellow officer or soldier of her fathers.  It reads: "Presented to Mrs. Lydia Rohrer as a mark of the high esteem in which I hold (held) her father and also of the appreciation of kindship by.  Your Friend, ....I can't make out his name or his rank.  On a piece of paper in the front of the album it has more information about Surgeon Benj. Rohrer.  It reads: "Surgeon Benj. Rohrer, 10th Penn. Vol. Reserves (Pennsylvania "Bucktails".  Recruited May 61, mustered out of service summer 64.  A three year regiment.  Heavily engaged throughout its existence.  Other last names in the album are Paulding, Smith, and Goss.  The back of one of the cdvs reads: Uncle Wolbert Smith.  Another reads:  USN/ 1863/ Rated "Master's Mate" Assist. Surgeon?.  Another reads:  F.M. Zuller Richfield Springs and U.S. Naval Academy.  Another reads: R.D. Goss, 3rd Minn NVI, Co. I.  Most of the cdv's were taken in Philadelphia.  One was taken at Whitehurst Gallery, 434 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC.  Some of the studios represented are as follows:  D. Hinkle, Gihon & Rixon, Ewing & Co., Isaac S. Lachman, A.W. Phipps, Thurlow, Trask's, Reimer, McAllister & Brother, Morgan & Brusstar, J.E. McClees, and F. Gutekunst.  There are a total of 28 cdvs in the album.  The clasps are very ornate.  They appear to be either copper or brass.  Good working order.  Please email me with any questions.  I have sold many Civil War cdvs.  I have never had anyone displeased with any of them.  I guarantee that all of the cdvs in this album are the original ones that were in it when I received it.  I have not taken out or added to it.  Please, only serious inquiries and offers!  If it doesn't sell as a complete unit I would consider selling individually.

We want to give our customers as many possible ways to pay for their items as possible. We accept Paypal payments (which encompass e-checks and credit card payments), cashier's checks, personal checks, and money orders. We highly discourage the use of cash through the mail and cannot be held accountable for the loss of it through the same means. Unless other prior arrangements are made we expect full payment for item purchased within five days of auction end. Thank you for your purchase!

We want to be able to offer as many of our items worldwide as possible! We will attempt to ship anything bought from us anywhere in the world but it is the buyer's responsibility to know the legalities of the item being purchased within their own countries laws and regulations. All of our international shipping estimates are just that, "estimates". Actual shipping costs could be higher, so please keep that in mind. Also due to size restrictions an item may not be able to be shipped out of the United States. Don't hesitate to ask questions of us! We are here to help and serve!

We strive to list items as honestly and accurately as possible. If you should feel that the item you received just doesn't quite live up to the listing please let us know. We try to work everything out with our customers as quickly as possible! To be very honest we have hardly had any problems over the years in this area. We love to give and receive positive feedback! We just ask that if you are unhappy for any reason please give us the chance to make it right. Thank you again so much for being our valued customer!

We have been selling on ebay for many years now and strive to provide excellent products and service to our customers! Not only do we sell our own finds, we now offer a listing service for individuals and businesses that don't want to handle the specifics of selling but opt to use the service we provide instead. We handle everything from the listing to the shipping! We just hand them the money when the transaction is complete. This has been a very successful endeavor! We prefer to sell unusual and hard to find items but are open to most other products. If you should need such service please give us the opportunity to serve you.

We prefer to be contacted through ebay's email service but if you should need to speak to someone live over the phone just give us an email and we will provide a number for you to call. If you should prefer you can give us your phone number and someone will contact you. Whatever is the easiest for you!

On May-21-08 at 20:19:47 PDT, seller added the following information:

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING!!!!!!!!!  UPDATED 5-21-08 @11:17 PM

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT UNLESS THIS AUCTION MEETS $950  BY 9AM ON THURSDAY (MAY 22)  I WILL HAVE TO CANCEL THE AUCTION!  WHEN I HAD ORIGINALLY CREATED THE AUCTION I PUT A RESERVE OF $950 ON THIS ITEM BUT FOR SOME REASON ON EBAY'S SIDE IT DIDN'T SHOW ON THE AUCTION.  I HAVE TALKED WITH EBAY THRU EBAY LIVE HELP AND EMAIL AND THE ONLY THING THEY CAN TELL ME IS THAT I NEED TO CANCEL THE AUCTION AND RELIST BEFORE LESS THAN 12 HOURS IS LEFT OR I WILL HAVE TO SELL FOR WHAT IT GOES FOR BUT I CAN'T TAKE LESS THAN MY ORIGINAL RESERVE OF $950.  THEY CAN'T GUARANTEE ME THAT I WILL BE CREDITED FOR THE MISTAKE.  I WAS HOPING BY THIS POINT THAT THE RESERVE WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN MET BUT IT HASN'T.  IN ALL MY YEARS WITH EBAY I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME!  AS YOU CAN TELL BY MY 98.9% FEEDBACK THAT I AM AN HONEST AND GOOD EBAYER!  I AM SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THAT THIS HAS CAUSED!  THE UPSIDE IS THAT IF BY 9AM THE RESERVE IS MET THEN I WILL LEAVE THE AUCTION OPEN UNTIL IT ACTUALLY ENDS.  THANK YOU!
