Hèrmes founded in 1837 by Thierry Hèrmes, quickly gained a reputation for luxurious leathers and quality craftsmanship. Almost 170 years later, Hèrmes is stronger than ever, using only the finest skins in the World to handmake every unique handbag.

The *Birkin* handbag was originally created in the Fabuourg workshop in Paris in 1984 for the actress Jane Birkin.

The Birkin which is a smaller version of the Haut a Courroies is an extremely versatile bag. With just 150 skilled Hèrmes crafstmen trained to make the Birkin and Kelly bags and where it can take such a skilled craftsman many hours to make such an equisite bag from cutting to finishing. Demand for the Hèrmes Birkin far exceeds production, hence the notorious wait lists.

Each handbag will have a code, which identifies the craftsman who made it, the year and the atelier it was made in.

Condition	Excellent pre-owned condition authentic Hermès Birkin dating from 2003. This beautiful Classic authentic Hermès Birkin has gained a wonderful patina and has proved water repellant. The exterior is in super condition with no loss of colour or signs of wear to the corners. The interior has the slightest of indentation marks on the base and the hardware has some surface scratches.Please note this is not a brand new, never used Birkin and is priced accordingly.
