HERMÈS Vintage Silk Scarf "Dieu Et Mon Droit" The motto „Dieu et mon droit“ is French for "God and my right"
For the Royal coat of arms of the Kingdom of England to have a French rather than English motto was not unusual, given that Norman French was the primary language of the English Royal Court and ruling class following the rule of William the Conqueror of Normandy and later the Plantagenets.
This vintage scarf was designed in 1961 for Hermès!!!
Measurements of the scarf: 87 cm x 87 cm or 34" x 34" This vintage silk carre is in very good condition.
The silk is thick and crinkly. There are no holes, just some very tiny white stains and minimal pulled threads. The care tag is missing. Please review my detailed pictures.
