AUTHENTIC Megatouch ION motherboard-EVO, Elite Edge ECS

If you have a Megatouch ION game, and the motherboard is shot, here you go!  This is a the REAL Purple ECS motherboard assembly, and it is ready to get that game earning again!  THIS AUCTION INCLUDES the CPU, heatsink/fan, and ram!  All you will have to do is plug all the wires into this board.  This board is actually better than a new board for one big reason.  The Capacitors.  The ones that come on these boards from the factory are GARBAGE. That's why you see them swollen after only 2 years!  By replacing those garbage caps with new, better caps (rated for 6,000 hours at 105 degrees C), it virtually guarantees the longevity of the board. 

This motherboard will work in an ION EVO, Elite Edge, or Upright.  I'm going to give you a little rundown right now though.  There are currently 3 different motherboards used in the ION games.  This is the ECS, which most people refer to as the "purple board", or possibly the "crappy purple board", depending on whether your board is currently working :)  .  It was used in the original ION Upright, EVO, Elite Edge, and "Mod Box" jukeboxes.

The second is the Asus board.  It is used in newer ION EVO and Elite Edge games, as well as the early "Aurora" games.  It is the standard "green PCB" color.  I have this for sale in other listings, so if that's what you need, check my other auctions.

The 3rd ION board is the uITX board.  It is a small square green board, and is only used in Aurora Widescreen games and the new Rx machines.  These are so new that you aren't going to see bad ones.  And even if you did, they'd all be under warranty.

I have a very simple rule when replacing a bad ION motherboard.  If you have a purple ECS board, replace it with another purple ECS.  If you have an Asus, replace it with an Asus.  If you have the uITX, replace with with a uITX.  Yes, you can swap them around, and some iterations are interchangeable, but the mounts are different, the harnesses are different, and it's just not worth the hassle.  On top of that, what's the point?  The ECS and Asus boards are equally crappy.  And the uITX boards are so new, that even if you did have one fail, it would be under warranty.

In Summary, REPLACE YOUR BOARD WITH AN IDENTICAL BOARD.  It will save you a lot of time and headaches!!

Every motherboard that leaves my shop will have gone through the following...

• All Electrolytic capacitors have been replaced

• New Battery has been installed on the motherboard

• Board has been bench tested for 24 hours to ensure that it's working perfectly

Again, this comes with everything you need so that all you need to do is plug it in.  This does not, however, include the I/O board.  In most of the "ION" games, it is mounted parallel to the motherboard using 1" standoffs.  The I/O board is not included in this auction, however, your existing one will screw right on to this one.
