| This specimen of an awesome and large Lake Superior Thomsonite was collected off the shore line of Lake Superior,Cedar Bay,Keweenaw county,Michigan,in the mid 60's.It is 1 5/8" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" and weights in at 25.5 grams.There are at least 5 radiating,needle like sprays ,of pink crystals in the stone.The pink color comes from microscopic Copper inclusions and the greeens are from Copper Carbonates.Lake Superior Thomsonites are a mix of Mesolite,Thomsonite and Natrolite with Copper inclusions.The stone has been tumbled polished and then re-polished on the face to better show the interior display of colors and crystals.Buyer pays all shipping by zip or postal codes and insurance if requested.Thanks for looking and look at our store for other mineral specimens and more. |
