ZD-06 is one of our NEWEST soil pH & moisture tester which is made LONGER and SLENDER but sturdy to cover the complete zone. It measures 295mm or 11.6inches in length making it possible to measure even WAY BELOW THE ROOT ZONE. It is an ESSENTIAL DEVICE, designed to accurately CHECK the ACIDITY and ALKALINITY (pH level) of the soil that is directly affecting the nutrient uptake and help you monitor the improper pH distribution that causes or inhibits root growth and at what level or area in the soil profile these changes occur. ZD-06 will help you know when to you needed to adjust the soil acidity or alkalinity to prevent poor plant health. Low soil pH causes aluminum and manganese toxicity in plants and reduces the availability of soil phosphorus. High soil pH also reduces soil phosphorus availability and reduces micro-nutrients such as zinc and boron to plants. For instance, alfalfa grows best in soils having a pH of 6.2 - 7.8, while soybean grows best in soils with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Peanuts grow best in soils that have a pH of 5.3 to 6.6. Many other CROPS, VEGETABLES, FLOWERS and SHRUBS, TRESS, WEEDS and FRUIT are pH dependent and rely on the soil solution to obtain nutrients.

ZD-06 is ideal for frequent outdoor and indoor testing and offers reading results in no time. Simply insert probe to desired depth let it stand for 60 seconds then get the pH reading. ZD-06 has a sensitive electrode that measures pH values from 3 to 8 that is used to indicate the acidity and alkalinity of the soil and values from 1 to 8 to indicate the soil moisture. It requires no chemical, distilled water, nor any other power source.

Operating Information:

• Remove any obstruction to the soil that requires testing, such as surface soil, grass, leaves, pebbles, etc. If the soil is dry or contains too much fertilizer, sprinkle some water onto the soil and leave for 25-30 minutes before testing.
  
• Before using the tester, be sure to thoroughly clean its metallic surface with a piece of whetting cloth. When using a brand-new tester, we advise you to insert it into the soil a few times before taking your reading. This is in order to remove any oily impurities from its metallic surface that may affect the accuracy of your soil pH or moisture reading.
  
• Insert the meter directly into the soil that requires testing, embedding its metallic surface completely and tamp down the surrounding soil so that is adheres closely to the meter's metallic electrode surface. About ten minutes after inserting the meter in the soil, the pointer will indicate the correct value of pH or moisture. The meter may sometimes register different values depending on the oil surface, moisture content etc. Therefore it is advised you take an average of several measurements.
  
• Press the white button and the pointer will indicate the correct moisture value.
  
• After use, wipe all the soil or moisture off of the metallic surface.
