I have taken many photographs in natural lighting, with a tripod, using a macro lens to show the intricate and fine detailing of this precious baby. These details are magnified in the photographs, however, these details do not appear this distinct with the normal eye. The look in person is unbelievable realism!

I am thrilled to offer for your consideration, A Realistic Reborn Baby, that was an absolute dream to create. If you have just discovered this Wonderful Artform of Reborn Babies, I am not a new artist, I have been creating realistic reborns for more than 8 years. Hundreds of my Reborn Babies are with loving families World Wide! I have professional backgrounds in Registered Nursing and Art, however, most importantly, I am the real life Mom to a wonderful son! As a Professional Reborn Artist, I consistantly strive for the utmost quality and realism in every baby I create, and with this baby, I have surpassed my highest standards for realism. I was elated and astounded with the result of this precious angel when I completed his creation. Joshua Garrett is a gorgeous newborn, that looks and feels exactly like a life-like Newborn Preemie. Each and every baby I create comes from my heart, my soul, and the Lord's Guidance of my Hands. Each baby is unique and one of a kind, never to be duplicated. I am so proud of the realism of this baby, I took many close up photographs to show the minute details and features, as his realism in person is breathtaking. I take all photographs in natural lighting so that you see first hand exactly what your New Baby will look like when they arrive home to you.

Coloring and detailing the baby is the most arduous part of this artform, literally taking days of applying many transparent layers, to achieve the perfect blend, colors working off each other, with the end result of an unbelievable realistic reborn baby. This particular doll kit is made of a wonderful silicone/vinyl combination! The feel is so much more realistic and extremely soft to the touch. I strive for a translucent, true living skin with a 3-dimensional appearance.

I use Genesis Heat Set Paints, exclusively for my vinyl babies. Joshua Garrett, a precious newborn Preemie has extremely unique features and life-like details of a real baby at this gestation. His "hours from the womb" appearance is phenomenal! The vast majority of Preemies have mottled and blotchy skin tones. Not all of the baby's circulation has developed completely, thus displaying the bluish cast to areas of his face and limbs.

Throughout my career, I have worked hard to develop a new method of veining that is truly realistic in person. Subtle, yet defined. Veining that looks like a "drawn pen line" do not look like real baby veins. I abhor this fake vein appearance, and will never create a baby with this type of veining. Joshua Garrett has realistic veining and capillaries throughout his head, face, arms, legs, hands, and feet. They are difficult to see in the photographs; however, subtle and realistic in person.

In addition, he has a very natural appearing manicure on each tiny fingernail and toenail. They are tipped with an ivory color and then sealed to prevent chipping and yellowing with age.

I just adored watching Joshua Garrett "come to life"! I love this baby! I am certain his new family will adore him. Joshua Garrett is so realistic, the exact likeness of a true life newborn angel!

Joshua Garrett is weighted to 3 pounds,2 Ounces. This is very realistic weight for a newborn baby! He will actually feel heavier than 3 pounds when held. His custom doe suede, fully jointed body is weighted with a new "Secret Recipe" for the ultimate realistic feel of a "minutes old" infant. He has 3/4 limbs that are also weighted to add to his realistic weight and feel. I use all new weighting products in my angels, and never use sand, so there is never a problem with traveling internationally.

When you feel and hold one of my angels', you will feel a "life-like baby", soft, floppy, cuddly, almost a "fluid feel" to their weight! I guarantee that you will never want to put this newborn baby down!

Joshua Garrett's head is also weighted, you must support his head, as you would a real baby.

Joshua Garrett's "baby fine", warm dark brown hair and eyelashes have been ultra micro rooted using the highest quality mohair on the market today. I purchase the mohair and hand dye it for each baby. I then deep condition the newly dyed mohair for a soft, shiny, silky and realistic look and feel. His hair is literally rooted 1-2 strands at a time using the smallest gauge German needle available. The outcome is a natural looking hairshaft, growing from the scalp. I root the hair as it naturally grows, and then razor cut it in a realistic baby hairstyle. His entire head is rooted to the nape of his neck. The hair is sealed on the inside of his head, so his New Mom may gently moisten and comb his hair in different styles.

This Precious Newborn Preemie has phenomenal,
almost shocking real life newborn detailing. He has 3-dimensional "Milk Spots" on his tiny face that are visible in some close-up photographs. He also has a few "scratch marks from his tiny sharp fingernails" on his precious face!
