This is the Bob Parks designed, original AeroTech Phoenix radio controlled rocket powered boost glider that is recognized as the king of all rocket gliders. It's beautiful lines and highly efficient proprietary airfoil make this a highly sought after kit that has been unavailable for a number of years. In recent years, some quality reproductions have been made, but they too are now out of production.
The Phoenix is a high performance rocket launched glider intended for radio control pilots with prior aileron aerobatic experience. If you feel comfortable flying a sport aerobatic power plane or a slope soaring aerobatic glider, then the Phoenix is just the ticket for an adrenaline producing flying experience.

This is an original AeroTech Phoenix Boost Glider kit, new, in the box, that I've had for over 9 years.
Never wanted to part with this, but I don't see where I'm going to get the time (or space) to build and fly it. So rather than let it lanquish on a shelf in my workshop, I thought it would be better to sell it to someone who will do right by it -- i.e. build it and FLY it and enjoy it!
Bought this kit new, but I did open it once (only once) in order to verify that all contents were present and in good condition.
Of special note is that this kit includes the AeroTech RMS-RC reloadable rocket motor assembly -- something that was a separate, additional expense for the recent reproduction models that were sold.
(NOTE: There are no motor reloads or other pyrotechnic items in this kit.)
You will be hard pressed to find another one of these around - especially the original AeroTech manufactured Phoenix, new in the box. So don't pass up this opportunity!
SHIPPING COST UPDATE: The eBay shipping cost calculator gives shipping cost based upon using USPS Parcel Post plus a $2.00 packaging/handling fee. (This item will be carefully packed and insurance is required.) However, I can also ship via UPS or FedEx ground All I expect is that the buyer pays actual shipping costs (insurance, plus packaging); this is reasonable. If you want an estimate prior to bidding, send a message through eBay with your location and preferred method of shipment. If you win the auction, I will get the actual cost to your location and invoice you through ebay for the total (auction price plus shipping.)
