Collection Honoring African Americans The collection shown here consists of 133 United States postage stamps which were issued by the U.S. Postal Service to honor African Americans or significant historical events relative to African Americans in the United States. These stamps have never been used and are in mint condition. This collection contains the 10 cent Booker T. Washington stamp which was issued in 1940 and the 3 cent George Washington Carver stamp issued in 1948. These two men were the first famous African Americans to appear on United States postage stamps. The stamps are stored in acid free Vario stock sheets and placed in a three ring binder. The binder cover has a beautiful color image of a famous African American who appeared on a stamp. Payment Terms: I accept and prefer that
