ZORBAX StableBond columns provide longer column life and reproducibility for low pH separations of basic, acidic and neutral compounds. They are usable at low pH and high temperatures without degradation and offer broad selectivity using a wide selection of stable short-chain phases. They provide higher recoveries of difficult compounds, such as hydrophobic peptides, and they are excellent for beginning method development for small molecules and for peptide/protein separations.

Unique monofunctional silanes with bulky diisobutyl (with C18) or diisopropyl (with C8, phenyl, propyl CN) side chain groups sterically protect the key siloxane bond from hydrolytic attack at low pH. StableBond packing materials are not end-capped, to provide exceptional stability, and to maximize lifetime and reproducibility under acidic pH conditions.
