Several years ago I had a project going that required aircraft grade aluminium.  I ordered the stuff from Aircraft Spruce  and paid an outrageous fortune, (at least half of what they're asking now).  The ID strip on this piece reads "ASTM-B221SERVICE CENTER METALS 6061-T6511 LOT 400879-4-1"  Current price from Aircraft Spruce for this stuff is $4.30 per foot so here's your chance to snatch a screaming bargain.
