Airplane seat base, Airline seat base

You are bidding on a custom built seat base for an airline seat.   Many of my EBay buyers ask me if the airline seats I sell here on EBay can stand alone.  EBay buyers ask me if the seats tip or lean if they are not anchored to the floor.   The answer is that some of the seat sets I sell do lean or tip.  The heavier, wider 1st class seat models can usually stand alone, but coach seats and the lighter more narrow Business Class seats need a little help.  Nobody want to anchor these novelty airline seats into a beautiful hardwood floor of course.  So I designed a functional and attractive seat base for those airline seats that need a little help with stability.  First I measure the length and width of the seat set and cut select 2 x 4's to size (typically 48" x 30").  I drill out holes to connect the frame pieces and fasten them together with 5 inch lag bolts and washers.  I then install the two cross pieces the same way to support the legs of the seat.  I stain the 2 x 4's dark oak and let dry.  Next,  I place the seat set onto the 2 x 4 cross pieces and anchor it down using either 1 1/2 inch or 1 1/4 inch piping straps (from Home Depot).  I anchor the straps into the 2 x 4's with 1 inch lag screws and washers.   Voila!  The seat is very secure and the base looks great.  This is a very attractive seat base, suitable for a den or study or office waiting room.   The price of this seat frame is $55.  Yes I can ship it to you but the buyer pays shipping.  The weight of the seat base is approximately 25 pounds.  We quickly and courteously respond to every e mail inquiry.  We accept Visa and Master Card.  Please visit our EBay store by clicking on the small red "door" icon to see the 18 or so seat styles and colors that we have available.  The EBay freight calculator is wrong.  Please ignore it.   I get much better shipping prices due to my volume discount with UPS Freight.
